Our Team

Mark W. Malnory, CPA

Mark is a native Texan. He founded the current practice of Malnory, McNeal & Company, PC as a sole practitioner in 1992. Prior to opening his own practice, he worked for the public accounting firms of Lane Gorman Trubitt, L.L.P., in Dallas, TX. and Wells, Billman & Associate, in Paris, TX. Mark serves as managing partner of the firm and of the Dallas office. He has extensive experience in individual, partnership, corporate, and estate taxation. Mark also devotes much of his time to auditing of both for-profit and non-profit entities and audits of employee benefit plans.


Client relations and understanding are enhanced by common experiences. Prior to entering public accounting, he owned and operated retail food stores,and was a member of the Board of Directors and Secretary of the Board for Affiliated Food Stores, Inc. He also brings public experience in local government having worked in the office of the city manager of Navasota, TX. and the planning department of the City of Austin, TX.

Mark and his wife Tammy live in Dallas. They have two grown children, Les, and his wife Natalie in Dallas, and Lara in Dallas. 214-559-0784  

Johnna Whittle McNeal, CPA

Johnna is a native of Clarksville, Texas and has been in public practice serving the Red River Valley and surrounding area's accounting needs since 1990. Johnna serves as managing partner of the Paris office. She practices in both the audit and taxation division of the firm with extensive experiences in individual and corporate taxation and audits of school districts, cities, counties, and non-profits as well as for-profit entities. Johnna is a member of the TSCPA Professional Standards Committee (PSC) serving on the Governmental sub-committee. The PSC is charged with responding to exposure drafts of proposed accounting and auditing standards, as well as rules and regulations issued by standard-setting bodies such as AICPA's Auditing Standards Board, FASB and GASB. She also servers on the TSCPA planning committee for the Texas School District Accounting and Auditing Conference. Johnna is qualified to serve as a Team Captain for Peer Reviews under the AICPA Peer Review Program. She serves on the Advisory Board of Guaranty Bond Bank, Paris, Texas and is an active member of the Immanuel Baptist Church. Johnna and her husband James also own Precision Automotive and Transmission in Paris. They have three children, J.D., Natalie and Drew.

Beverly F. Smith, CPA

Tax Manager

Beverly was born in Texas, but her family lived overseas for the first 20 years of her life due to her father's job in accounting management with Amoco in South America, Europse and the Middle East. She received a B.S. in accounting from Centenary College in Louisiana and a M.S in Accounting from Texas Tech University. Her first public accounting job in Midland, TX gave her a solid understanding of oil and gas accounting and taxation. Over 20 years of public accounting service in small to large public accouting firms in both West and North Texas have provided experience in many other industries and small businesses, including real estate, construction, medical and other professional services companies. A period of time in the private sector provided experience in tax issues related to high wealth families, including estate and trust taxation and planning. In her spare time Beverly enjoys singing in church choral groups, and golf and bowling with her husband who is also a CPA and a Senior Manager at Travis Wolff. Beverly and Jim have two grown children, Tamara and her husband Grant and son Rock live in Allen, and Katrina in Dallas.

Les Malnory CPA, MPA
Les graduated with a B.A. from the University of Texas in Austin, additionally holds a graduate certificate in finance from Southern Methodist University, and holds a Masters of Professional Accounting from the University of Texas at Arlington. Les resides in Dallas with wife Natalie, son Nash, and daughter Arabella. 214-559-0784  

Emad J. Musharbash, CPA, MSQF
EJ received a BBA with a double major in accounting and finance from Southern Arkansas University. He went on to complete a Masters of Science in Quantitative Finance from the University of Texas, Arlington. Prior to starting his career in public accounting E.J. worked as a fund accountant for Lehman Brothers. He is a citizen of Amman, Jordan but calls Dallas, Texas home. E.J. is fluent in English as well as Arabic. 214-559-0784  

Elizabeth Hamm, CPA
Elizabeth received her degree in Professional Accountancy from Texas A&M University, Commerce. She has been with the firm since 2001 and practices both in the audit and taxation divisions. She and her husband Sammy have three girls, Lydia, Faith and Emily.. 903-784-6700  

Cheryl A. Adams, Enrolled Agent
Cheryl is a native Texan and has been in public accounting since 1978. She worked for the public accounting firm of Fox, Byrd and Company in Dallas, Texas for 24 years. She has extensive experience in individual and trust taxation. Cheryl received her BA from Westminster College, Salt Lake City, Utah with a major in psychology and minor in mathematics. She went on to obtain a Masters of Science in Natural Science and Mathematics from the University of Oklahoma. Prior to entering public accounting she was in the Peace Corps in India for 2 years and then a high school mathematics teacher for 4 years.
